Your record is a matter of trust.
Your DD-214 carries your Social Security number, your date of birth, and your whole service history. We treat it the way you would want it treated. Here is exactly how.
How we handle your DD-214
When you upload your DD-214 or active-duty orders to join, the file is encrypted the moment it arrives and stored in a private, access-restricted vault. It is never placed in any public location, and it is never attached to an email.
How long we keep it
We keep your document only as long as we need it to verify your membership and support any benefits claim you ask us to help with. You may ask us to delete it at any time, and once it is no longer needed for an active purpose, it is permanently destroyed.
What we never do
- We never sell, rent, or share your document or personal information.
- We never post it, email it, or store it anywhere public.
- We never use it for anything other than verifying service and helping you.
Privacy policy
We collect only what the post needs: your name and contact information, your branch and service dates, your eligibility category, and your proof of service. We use it to verify membership, connect you to your service officer, and keep you informed about the post.
If you ask us to keep you posted on events or Be The One, you are giving explicit consent, and you can withdraw it at any time. The post owns its own member list. It is never rented from or sold to a third party, and you can ask for a copy of your data or its deletion by emailing info@colinpowellpost809.com.
This site uses privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics to understand traffic, and a security check on its forms to stop spam and abuse. It does not track you across the web.
